Case 3: Nagpur Man Loses ₹3.32 Lakh in Fake Delivery Scam
A man from Nagpur attempted to buy a high-end motorcycle listed at an unusually low price by a seller claiming to be an Army officer.
Step 1: Creating Urgency
The scammer claimed to be posted in a remote area and was selling the vehicle quickly before being transferred.
Step 2: Fake Delivery Company Fees
The fraudster asked the buyer to transfer ₹3.32 lakh as delivery charges and insurance fees to have the vehicle shipped. After receiving the money, the scammer cut off all communication.
Step 3: Realization and Complaint
After realizing he had been scammed, the victim filed a complaint at the local police station.
