Steps of the Fraud:

1. Message from a Known Contact:
   • Victims receive a WhatsApp message from a friend or family member claiming they accidentally sent a six-digit code to the victim’s number.
2. Request for Code Sharing:
   • The sender asks the victim to share the code to help them regain access to their account.
3. Account Hijacking:
   • Unknowingly, the victim shares the WhatsApp verification code, allowing the fraudster to take over their account.
4. Further Exploitation:
   • The scammer uses the hijacked account to target the victim’s contacts, perpetuating the scam.
