Steps of the Fraud:

Fraudsters posed as bank officials and tech support agents targeting NRIs & U.S. citizens.

Victims were promised fake loans or computer security services.

Victims were tricked into making upfront payments for loans that never materialized.

Scammers used VoIP calls to appear as legitimate banking representatives.
