Victims of customer care fraud should collect the following evidence to support their claims and
aid investigations:
● Call Records: Detailed records of phone calls, including dates, times, and the phone
number used by the fraudster.
● Screenshots/Emails: Copies of any fraudulent emails, chat logs, or text messages
received from the scammer.
● Bank Statements: Proof of any unauthorized payments or charges made during the
fraud.
● Transaction Details: Information about the fraudster’s bank account or payment
gateway used for the scam.
● Communication Records: Any communication with the actual company’s customer
support that clarifies the situation.
